CLC 150 - Say what?! English Conversation in an American Context Credits: 4 An introductory course for students whose goal is improving English language skills. Communication skills are the primary focus of the course – specifically listening and speaking. Participation in this course will require students to practice oral and receptive skills through community engagement. Students examine unique features of the spoken English such as linking, blending and reduction. Students develop strategies to better communicate through awareness of cultural norms, nonverbal communication and speech modification skills.
Prerequisite: None.
