MATH 365 - Combinatorics and Discrete Models Credits: 4 The study of topics from combinatorics and discrete mathematical models including the pigeonhole principle, permutations and combinations of finite sets and multisets, binomial and multinomial coefficients, the inclusion-exclusion principle, recurrence relations, and generating functions.
Prerequisite: MATH 205 with a grade of C or better, or permission of instructor.
Distribution Requirements: SP.
This is one of the possible mathematics courses that may be substituted for one of the required 300-level CMPSC courses in the Computer Science major.
