ENGL 211 - Women and Literature Credits: 4 An introduction to literature by women and/or representing women’s experience. This course also explores feminist approaches to literature and provides critical and historical perspective on the relationships between women and literature. Specific genres and time periods studied may vary. Authors considered may include Amelia Lanyer, Aphra Behn, Jane Austen, the Brontes, Emily Dickinson, Virginia Woolf and Toni Morrison.
Prerequisite: ENGL 110 , or WGSS 100 , or permission of the instructor.
Distribution Requirements: HE, PD.
ENGL 200 may be used in place of ENGL 110 in satisfying the prerequisite for the above course.
