COMJ 560 - Community and Justice Studies Junior Seminar Credits: 4 A preparation for students to engage in community research. Students develop skills in data analysis and are introduced to broader social analysis and effective community interaction. Students are exposed to the basic tenets of qualitative and quantitative research, with a particular emphasis on developing rigorous research projects, but are also trained to locate their research findings in larger social processes, with discussions including both productive ways of interacting with community members as well as the connection between strong research and social change.
Prerequisite: COMJ 160 and COMJ 260 .
