The Environmental Science and Sustainability minor consists of 20 credits. At graduation, Environmental Science and Sustainability minors must have a GPA of at least 2.0 in the minor. The calculation is based on the grades of all courses presented for the minor. Only the most recent grade is considered for courses that have been repeated. All courses presented for the minor must be taken for a letter grade. A maximum of 12 transfer credits are accepted toward the minor; exceptions must be approved by the department chair.

The Environmental Science and Sustainability minor provides students with a foundational understanding through a core set of three courses. These courses introduce key concepts in environmental science, develop critical thinking skills for analyzing environmental challenges, and teach research methods for investigating environmental issues. Students can then personalize their minor by selecting two additional courses to align with their interests.
