MUSIC 175 - Music Technology

An introduction to fundamental music tools and techniques used for electronic and electroacoustic music performance, recording, sound manipulations, and sound generation.  Through exercises, students explore the affordances of technology on music creation and performance. Topics include: computer music history, techniques for sound synthesis, music instrument digital interface sequencing, sonification, interactive controllers for performance, and music embodiment.
