FS 200 - Academic Discourse for Transfer Students
Credits: 4
An exploration of oral and written communication with a focus on research and formed argument. Students consider context, audience, style, evidence, and strategies for persuasion. The topical material covered in the seminar varies from semester to semester. Transfer students take Academic Discourse for Transfer Students in their first semester. The seminar instructor serves as the student’s first academic advisor. Must be taken on the letter-grade basis.
