ENGL 360 - Language, Theory, and Practice Credits: 4 A course that explores how language, reading, and writing operate as historical cultural practices, as subjects of theoretical study, and as effective contemporary communication. The emphasis of the course vary, depending on the instructor. Topics may include the cultural history of the English language, twentieth-century literary and critical theory, and modes of communication in the digital age. May be repeated for credit.
Prerequisite: One 100-level literature course
