SPAN 220 - Issues in Contemporary Spanish and Spanish American Culture Credits: 4 A continued study of Spanish language through issues in contemporary Spanish-speaking societies. Students acquire vocabulary and develop facility with the language by discussion of present-day topics such as education, sports, music, crime, the environment, or religion as related to daily life. Phonetics and pronunciation skills and the use of grammatical structures necessary for improving written and oral fluency form an integral part of the content studied.
Prerequisite: SPAN 215 or appropriate score on placement test.
