CHIN 305 - Advanced Chinese Language and Culture I Credits: 4 An upper-level course for students who wish to develop and refine their ability to understand, speak, read, and write Modern Standard Chinese. Students examine extensive readings and video materials dealing with aspects of Chinese society and culture, economy, and politics. These texts serve as points of departure for discussion and composition. Recommended for students wishing to specialize in any field related to China. Three class meetings per week. May be repeated for credit.
Prerequisite: CHIN 225 or permission of the instructor.
