INTDS 530 - Internship in Community Health Credits: 2 An internship in community health care with the Meadville Medical Center (MMC). Using the academic and practical foundation provided in INTDS 230 , interns work as “health coaches” in the local community under the guidance of MMC health care professionals. Through in-home visits or telephone interactions, health coaches work to educate and motivate at-risk patients to take an active and meaningful role in their health and well-being. Interns also participate in weekly meetings with MMC health care teams for case presentations, discussions, and planning. May be repeated for credit.
Prerequisite: INTDS 230 and permission of instructor.

Not open to first-year students.
