HIST 560 - Witchcraft in Colonial America Credits: 4 This seminar investigates the social, political, economic, religious, and literary interpretations of the Salem Village witchcraft trials of 17th century Massachusetts Bay Colony. The culture of Puritanism is explored. Students are required to formulate their own interpretation of the events studied.
Prerequisite: HIST 324 and permission of instructor.
