PSYCH 110 - Foundations of Psychology Credits: 4 An introduction to five major sub-areas of psychology: human development, learning and memory, motivation and emotion, social behavior, and individual differences. Students become acquainted with the major methods of data collection such as laboratory experiments, field and case studies, and observation; with important theories including the behavioral, biological, cognitive, psychodynamic, and humanistic points of view; and with findings of each sub-field. Important concepts are exemplified by a study of selected topics and applied issues within each of the five areas.
