ENVSC 110 - Introduction to Environmental Science Credits: 4 An overview of the natural science and social science components of the human environment. Topics include: the ecosystem, energy, resource definitions and limitations, water supply, air pollution, sustainable design, environmental policy, environmental justice, solid and hazardous waste management, land use and conservation biology. Emphasis is on the use of natural and social scientific knowledge in decision-making and problem-solving.
Distribution Requirements: SB, SP.
This course counts as Natural Science for the purpose of satisfying the College distribution requirement for students who matriculated before Fall 2016. Designed primarily for first-year students and sophomores.
