COMRT 583 - Production Junior Seminar Credits: 4 An intensive production class which explores visual and aural elements, which contribute to the art of narrative cinema. Early films, fictional and non-fictional, are used to study the origins of modern cinema. Each student makes short projects exploring filmic principles chosen from those presented in class. As a group, students produce a lengthier project and then arrange and promote a public screening. Students create a coherent visual style, understand the logistics of production, and gain an overview of the marketplace.
