ART 285 - Electronic & Intermedia Art I Credits: 4 An introduction to using electronic technologies and alternative media as art-making tools. Students integrate emerging and established electronic technologies such as sensing environments, digital image/sound/video/visualization manipulation, and data collection tools into artistic practice. We explore cyberculture, wearable computing, social media, mobile apps, and augmented reality, utilizing electronics and emerging technologies in innovative and unexpected ways. Coursework integrates effective oral and written communication to explore contemporary and historical practices within the medium and the role of art in human experience.
