Credits: 4 A beginning level course covering traditional as well as contemporary forms of sculptural expression. Considerations of form, space, and scale, as well as the significance of materials and process are explored. Projects involve clay modeling, wood construction, carving, and mixed media. Coursework integrates effective oral and written communication to explore contemporary and historical practices within the medium and the role of art in human experience.
Prerequisite: Any 100-level Studio Art course or permission of instructor.
