ENGL 380 - Literary Theory Credits: 4 An examination of 20th-century theories of literature and criticism organized around essays from the fields of literary criticism, critical theory, and cultural studies. Critical “schools” studied might include Structuralism, Post-Structuralism, Reader-Response Criticism, New Historicism, Marxist Criticism, and Feminist Criticism.
Prerequisite: ENGL 110 and at least three additional English courses, or permission of the instructor.
Distribution Requirements: HE, SB.
ENGL 200 may be used in place of ENGL 110 in satisfying the prerequisite for the above course.
